Sabrina Flowe of Gaston County, N.C, was home with her two small children when she heard a commotion at the back of the house. She grabbed a pistol that her husband had taught her how to use and went to investigate, finding a man trying to force his way in to her enclosed porch.
Flowe told WSOC-TV that she showed her firearm to the would-be intruder and another suspect who was accompanying him: “I had my hand up like this where they could see it … Told him basically, ‘Get the [expletive] out of my house.’” Both men promptly obeyed her command.
The mom said of her actions, “My only thought is to take care of my family.” She told reporters that the man trying to gain access to her porch had something in his hand, but she could not tell whether it was a weapon. Police called in K-9 units to help track down the suspects.
