In the wake of the Florida school shooting, anti-gunners immediately started talking about more laws to control guns. But NRA Chief Executive Officer Wayne LaPierre says history has shown that more laws are not the answer. Instead, we need to take practical action to protect our citizens.

LaPierre, speaking at the CPAC conference, said if we can protect stores, banks and entertainers, we surely ought to be able to protect children at school. And the way we protect stores, banks and entertainers is with armed guards.

Parents, teachers and education leaders must come together to devise the best way to protect our students, he said, and that primarily focuses on having armed security at schools/
