Hollywood’s Anti-Gun Blather Strengthens Support for Gun Rights

If you want to bet on a sure thing these days, you can put your money on entertainment figures taking to Twitter after a major shooting to call on politicians to enact more restrictions on guns in America. Is seems like they think that having a recognizable face makes them experts on public policy.

The thing is, a March poll shows that when TV and movie stars make their case for more gun control, Americans are actually more likely to take a firmer stand for our right to keep and bear arms.

The Zogby Analytics poll takes into account results from almost 900 likely voters, and 56 percent of them said they strongly support or somewhat support our right to bear arms any time they hear actors and other entertainers spout off about the need for more gun control.

Maybe Americans are finally coming to see Hollywood hypocrisy for what it is, that people who make money in films that capitalize on glorifying the use of guns (usually misuse, actually) don’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to criticizing our right to protect ourselves and our loved ones.
