Tucker Carlson is one who’s not afraid to challenge lawmakers—or others who want to infringe on our Second Amendment right—and his latest tete-a-tete came with U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell, the Democrat from California who wants to outlaw many semi-automatic guns and prosecute those who don’t participate in a government buy-back program.

Swalwell gets caught up in a web of denials, but Carlson reads from the op-ed the congressman wrote and takes him to task not only for denying law-abiding the right to protect themselves with common rifles, as the Supreme Court decision in the Heller case allows, but also to turn around and say it’s OK for Capitol Police—who serve as bodyguards for representatives and senators—to have guns, while ordinary Americans can’t.

Swalwell, who represents people who reside in the San Francisco Bay area, was no match for Carlson. The six-minute interview put Swalwell on the defensive from the onset, and Carlson never let up.
