Illinois-based auction house Rock Island Auction Co. has declared a parting of ways with Invaluable and its sister site AuctionZip, two online auction companies that stated in May that they would no longer sell “Class III weapons, ‘assault-style’ semi-automatic rifles.”

Rock Island, in response to the move, pulled its entire 2018 June Regional Auction and almost 10,000 guns from the site. It will no long list on Invaluable or AuctionZip in the future.

Rock Island, however, has proposed two solutions for those who still seek to purchase its offerings. First, sealed and absentee-bids can still be placed at rockislandauction.com. Second, customerswill have the option of using  Rock Island's new live bidding service that utilizes a live feed and interacts with the bidder’s account through its website. Rock Island has lowered the sealed bidding fee down to 1 percent, previously listed at 3 percent.

Currently the company has more than 600 firearms or firearm-related items listed on its site.
