In a video posted on Facebook, the dealership, which specializes in selling extreme vehicles such as large trucks, launched its promotion under the heading, “If you love America…” and discussed excitement over upcoming hunting season.
Five members of the dealership staff spoke about the promotion in the video while walking in intervals in front of the camera with shotguns placed on their shoulders.
Public reaction on Facebook was overwhelming positive. The annual promotion is a community favorite.
Michael Collins, manager at Gregg Orr Extreme, told America’s 1st Freedom. “We have a slogan: ‘Gregg Orr Extreme gives back’ and our clientele are all hunters and fishers. They support this and it gave them the opportunity to use the gun for whatever [hunting season] they wanted.”
A 92-year-old woman came in for the promotion and when she was asked if the shotgun was for her husband, she proudly replied, “No, this is for me,” according to Collins. General Manager Landry Gibbs came up with the successful idea.
Gregg Orr Extreme coordinates the special with Pawn Express in Texarkana, which conducts background checks and makes sure that each person who purchased a car during the promotion is lawfully able to own a firearm.
“We believe in responsible ownership. It’s all for the customers. We want to express freedom, so that’s what we’re going to do,” concluded Collins.
