As you and I survey the current landscape surrounding our Second Amendment freedom in this country, it’s impossible not to be optimistic and proud of what we’ve all accomplished together as NRA members.

Who would have believed a year and a half ago what our lives would be like today? Not me! But the COVID-19 pandemic, attacks by governmental entities and officials, and personal and family illnesses have not stopped the NRA.

We’ve covered a great deal of NRA history, but now we need to address making history.

Without the NRA's members, there is no National Rifle Association. And without their advocacy, the Second Amendment, the shooting sports and our hunting heritage would be non-existent.

President Biden and his administration are set on an anti-gun, pro-criminal course that is taking a tragic toll across America; meanwhile, Biden has continued to blame the Second Amendment instead of criminals.

We inherited a great freedom thanks to the sacrifices of generations of Americans who came before us. And we are charged with continuing that great legacy handed down to us.

What you probably read in the news about the NRA Annual Meetings, and what those of us who attended the event witnessed, were entirely different.

Issues related to guns in America have been very much in the news as some politicians blame American freedom for the actions of murderers; meanwhile, a lot of data is giving us clues of what's to come.

The Bruen decision shows that when our freedom is under attack, we will fight back and we will win.
