In accordance with the NRA’s bylaws and other legal requirements, the 149th NRA Annual Meeting of Members was held at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, in Tucson, Ariz., on October 24, 2020. Because of COVID-19 restrictions and concerns surrounding large gatherings, the historic Members’ Meeting had been postponed twice, putting NRA in the difficult position of finding a suitable and safe location on short notice.

As states require people to wear masks in what is being promoted as an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, state officials are having to answer: How does this impact concealed carry?

As I write this, America is still struggling with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many have been directly affected by the virus. And virtually every American has been impacted in some way.

As the coronavirus continues to impact our daily lives, firearms-related companies are stepping up to help.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many anti-gun officials around the country, at both state and local levels of government, took the opportunity to unilaterally suspend Second Amendment rights.

America’s gun industry has, of course, been very busy this year. Gun sales are so robust many retailers have found it difficult to keep popular models in stock. Some gun makers have, nevertheless, been affected by the mandatory shutdowns related to this pandemic.

Americans sure are buying guns right now. June 2020 just recorded the highest number of background checks called into the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) of any June in the history of the database.
