There are a lot of misleading ideas pushed by the radical Left that raise my ire, but fake feminism may top them all. Politicians claim to want to “empower” women, but, looking past the rhetoric, it is clear their policies actually work to put women more at risk.

Over my lifetime, I have been asked about my grassroots beginnings in politics and in defense of the Second Amendment. Most of the people asking were, in fact, wanting to find out how they could get involved.

On November 3, millions of Americans will exercise their constitutional right to vote for their candidate for president of the United States in possibly the most consequential election of modern times.

The right to protect myself and my family, and the hunting and outdoors traditions we all enjoy in America, have shaped my life since my childhood and through today.

I have had the distinct honor to serve as your president during the past year. It is a responsibility that I don’t take lightly—leading the millions of men and women of the oldest civil rights organization in America.

As president of the NRA and a long-time member of its Board of Directors, I’ve seen firsthand why NRA has been so successful in achieving the remarkable track record that honest, hard-working Americans rely on and that our political enemies fear.

As I’m sure you’re already aware, the ongoing challenges presented by COVID-19 and its variants forced us to cancel the 2021 NRA Annual Meetings in Houston—a huge disappointment to us all.

Together, we must remind politicians that they work for us, the American people.

There are people in our society who claim to value freedom and democracy, but who vote differently either by ballot or by letting their dollars do the talking. It happens in every election.
