When the U.S. Supreme Court tossed out New York state's "good cause" requirement, the state responded with a "good moral character" requirement that is, perhaps, even worse.

For decades, the NRA has fought to make sure that Americans have the right to self-defense and protection outside their homes.

We are supposed to believe that criminals will obey the "gun-free zone" signs.

Freedom-loving Americans will need to force anti-gun states to comply in the courts, the legislatures and with the wight of public opinion.

When their rights are red-taped away, when they are abused, made into victims and treated as if some of their freedoms were the cause of criminal violence, Americans will stand up, fists clenched, and demand respect.

The U.S. Supreme Court declared New York’s “good-cause” requirement for the right to bear arms outside the home unconstitutional, but the struggle for freedom is hardly over.

The U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling Bruen comes down to this: The rights so clearly stated in the Second Amendment of the U.S. Bill of Rights don’t inexplicably vanish when a citizen leaves their home.

The Bruen decision shows that when our freedom is under attack, we will fight back and we will win.

We need to focus on better solutions that exist within the framework of freedom.
