Whistling Bullets 4-H Club in Eagle, Colo., is much closer to being able to purchase some badly needed new equipment, thanks to a grant from the National Rifle Association Foundation.

According to a report at vaildaily.com, the NRA Foundation awarded the Eagle County 4-H group $2,987.95 to fund new firearms, archery equipment, ammunition, safety equipment and cleaning equipment. “We are very excited about the NRA's investment in shooting sports here in Eagle County, and we are pleased that the NRA is making an investment in our community,” Joel Cummins, organizational leader for Eagle County 4-H Whistling Bullets, told vaildaily.com.

Since its establishment in 1990, the NRA Foundation has awarded nearly $335 million in grant funding in support of the shooting sports. These grants provide essential funding that benefits programs such as youth education, law enforcement training, hunter education, conservation, firearms and marksmanship training and safety, and much more.
