Urge Kansas Governor To Veto Gun Control Measure

posted on June 13, 2017

As the current session nears its end, Kansans have one more chance to help ensure that anti-gun House Bill 2278 does not become law. This measure would prohibit the carry of self-defense firearms in state- or municipal-owned adult care homes and healthcare facilities, including the Kansas University Hospital, and in community health centers.

Earlier this month, the Kansas Senate showed its disdain for lawful self-defense when it passed an “emergency final action” regarding HB 2278, bypassing the usual debate and scrutiny. Then, the House approved it a mere two hours after receiving it.

Now Kansas gun owners are looking to Gov. Sam Brownback to ensure their gun rights are preserved.

Use Your Power!

Gov. Sam Brownback must make a decision regarding HB 2278 before the end of the week. Consequently, it is imperative that Kansas gun owners contact Brownback now and urge him to veto HB 2278. The governor can be contacted via phone at (785) 296-3232, or via email by clicking here.
