President Donald Trump is making headway in terms of reshaping the federal judiciary as 17 nominees for judgeships earned good marks during Thursday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

Eight of the 17 were approved along 11-10 party-line votes.

Three of the nominees are for Circuit Court seats, including Elizabeth Branch (for the 11th Circuit), Stuart Kyle Duncan (5th Circuit) and David Stras (8th Circuit).
