An elderly Tulsa homeowner is injured but alive after taking on a younger and stronger home intruder in an apparent break-in Saturday night on the west side of the city.

According to police reports, around 11 p.m. an armed intruder broke into the 85-year-old man’s home. The victim scuffled with the intruder, and when police arrived, they found the intruder shot twice in the abdomen, and the victim suffering from head injuries and a gunshot wound on his pelvis.
