An armed robber who burst into a Queens, N.Y., bar early Sunday morning found an armed citizen there to be more than he could handle.

According to local media reports, the man entered the bar with a gun and began taking money out of a cash register. The armed citizen—in this case a 69-year-old retired policemen—pulled out his gun and shot the armed robber once in the head, ending the threat.

The armed robber died at the scene, and the investigation continues.
