Armed 88-Year-Old Shoots Attacker

posted on November 12, 2016

When thieves burglarized an 88-year-old Ohio man’s house last week, robbing him and stealing his gun, he immediately went out and bought another one. That decision just might have saved his life.

According to local media reports, the very next night two people broke into the Hamilton, Ohio, man’s home again. While a woman tried to steal his TV, her male accomplice was beating the senior citizen.

Thankfully, the homeowner managed to reach his brand new .38 special and shoot his attacker once in the leg, causing both of the criminals to flee. “I guess he was counting my money,” the man later said. “I aimed for his leg and I got him.” According to the homeowner, the female burglar begged him not to shoot her, too. He replied, “You get your ass out of here and I won’t shoot you!”
