Armed Citizen Stops Knife- And Chain-Wielding “Prophet”

posted on April 30, 2015

Michael White had already had a busy morning by the time he arrived at the Ring residence in Auburndale, Fla. He had just been chased away from a neighbor’s property after telling them he was a “prophet and could talk to animals,” and swinging a chain over his head, chanting about “the time of Revelations.”

Had he actually been a prophet, White would have simply gone home at this point. Instead, he entered the yard of Paul and Lisa Ring. They shouted at him to leave, but White refused, saying he “belonged” on the property because his sister was “Lord of the Estate.” After Paul Ring retrieved a 12-gauge shotgun, White tossed a dagger at him through the screened porch. Ring fired his shotgun, hitting White in the arm. The assailant was apprehended after fleeing the scene.
