A Philadelphia deli owner who is also a concealed carry permit holder used his handgun to stop an armed robbery on Thursday night.

According to local media reports, a gun-toting man walked into the deli and declared a hold-up. The owner immediately pulled his own gun and shot the suspect.

The attempted robbery suspect was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are working to determine if he is responsible for a string of robberies in the area.
