Armed Georgia Woman Chases Off Intruders

posted on February 10, 2016

When three teenagers busted into a DeKalb County, Ga., home last Friday night, they likely thought nobody was home. They soon found out differently.

According to police reports, around 10:30 p.m. the teens began kicking in the door of the home, owned by a DeKalb Country Sheriff’s Office employee. The employee was sleeping, when her sons woke her to alert her of the intruders.

The homeowner grabbed a gun and shot one of the intruders, forcing the other two to flee. The homeowner and other occupants in the house were not injured.
