posted on May 9, 2016

A Fort Wayne, Ind., man used his legally carried firearm to stop a dog that was attacking him Friday afternoon.

According to local media, the man was walking his dog in an alley when an aggressive Doberman charged him. Fearing a violent attack, the man pulled his gun and shot the dog, ending the threat.

Police told 21Alive News that they had received complaints about the Doberman being aggressive before and that the man who shot the dog would not face any charges.
