Former Vice President Joe Biden’s quest for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination continued on Tuesday with Biden insulting Second Amendment supporters headed to the polls in Michigan.

“You are actively trying to end our Second Amendment right,” a worker in a hard hat at the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles plant in Detroit said to Biden.

“You’re full of s---,” Biden replied to the auto worker.

After some further discussion, in which Biden curiously mentions “AR-14’s,” he told the man not to be a “horse’s a--.”

After the very-public incident just before Democratic voters cast their ballots in a number of primaries on Tuesday March 10, a Biden spokesman took aim at the NRA, saying, “Remember that it’s not only Donald Trump who’s terrified of a Biden presidency. It’s the NRA, who Joe Biden has beaten twice – to ban assault weapons and pass the Brady Bill.”

Biden’s disdain for one of the oldest civil-rights organizations in the world has been no secret. He has repeatedly attacked the NRA in his stump speeches, during debates and on his campaign website.

Despite Tuesday’s events, Biden still picked up a big win in Michigan, while extending his lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT.), another candidate who is no friend of the right to keep and bear arms, in the race for the nomination. He also picked up wins over Sanders in Mississippi, Idaho and Missouri. This all comes just a week after Biden tapped former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas), of “Hell yeah, we’re going to take your AR-15” fame, to “take care of the gun problem.”

A number of anti-gun groups and politicians have also recently endorsed the former vice president. Along with O’Rourke, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-Ariz.) have all offered their support. The Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety endorsed Biden, as did the Brady Campaign.

Biden and Sanders are set to debate Sunday, March 15 in Phoenix, Ariz.
