Bloomberg’s Accidental Researchers

posted on May 1, 2015

Those pillars of agenda-driven scientific research—Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action—have announced the creation of something called the #NotAnAccident Index, which promises to be “a first-of-its-kind tracking of unintentional shootings by children.”

This “Index” will be produced by the same people whose inflated total of 74 school shootings since Newtown was reduced to only 15 by CNN, and rated “mostly false” by Politifact.com; whose Internet “sting” operation in Vermont grossly inflated illegal gun sales in the safest state in America; who added the names of the Boston bombers to their list of victims of gun violence on their “No More Names” bus tour; and whose research director, Ted Alcorn, ducked an on-air debate with economist John Lott earlier this week.

One final distortion: These two groups actually comprise only one “pillar,” led by Michael Bloomberg … leaving him one leg short to stand on.
