Burying The Lede

Do you find it surprising that in Tuesday’s congressional hearing on “Domestic Violence and Guns,” the most recent case involving domestic violence and guns wasn’t even cited? Can you believe that not one person mentioned Carol Bowne?

Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Mich., brought up her mother being threatened by her father. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., threw out numbers about women murdered by an intimate partner. Rep. Mike Thompson, D-Calif., even suggested gun control is good for women and would prevent deaths in domestic abuse situations.

But no one mentioned that gun control did not prevent Carol Bowne’s death. Or that she might be alive today if NOT for gun control. That’s a story the antis want to suppress—and as of this writing, a quick search of CNN, MSNBC, ABC News and NBC News returns zero results for Carol Bowne. We promise this story will not go away quietly.
