A bill allowing licensed adults to carry firearms on college campuses has taken a big legislative stride in Nevada. The Assembly approved AB 148, and it now moves to the state senate.
“This is common-sense legislation that provides responsible gun owners with the opportunity to protect themselves,” said Assemblywoman Michele Fiore, sponsor of the bill. “We can’t have a law that leaves women defenseless when they have the ability to stop their attackers.” The measure passed 24-15, and hopes are high it will also be approved by the state senate.
