Canada’s Gun Control Failure

posted on May 26, 2017

For a country with extremely restrictive gun control laws, Canada sure does have lots of illegal guns!

According to a report from CBCNews, there are more than 1 million restricted and/or prohibited guns in private hands in Canada right now. That represents an increase of 5.5 percent since last year.

According to the report, “While the number of prohibited firearms are, in theory, supposed to remain the same or gradually decline over time as owners whose guns were grandfathered die or give them up, the number of prohibited firearms actually rose.” Which leaves us wondering: What’s the point in restricting or prohibiting guns if there’s going to be a million of them out there anyway?
