It has happened again, although you won’t see it widely reported in so-called “mainstream” media outlets. A Vero Beach, Fla., concealed-carry permit holder used his handgun last week to stop an attacker armed with a knife.

According to local media reports, a man was assisting a family member with a tire repair in a gas station parking lot. The man had helped change the flat and got back in his car to leave when another man, who had been sleeping nearby, grabbed his arm through the open window and tried to stab him.

Left with no alternative, the man grabbed his handgun and fired one shot at his attacker, ending the assault. Police say the man had a valid concealed-carry permit.
