After speaking at a USA TODAY Newsmakers event during the Republican National Convention, NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox recently sat down with USA TODAY's Susan Page. In the interview, he addressed why the presumptive Democratic presidential candidate is so dangerous.

“Hillary Clinton said that she’ll spend every minute of every day working to pass gun control,” Cox said. So when she follows that up by saying that she doesn’t want to take away guns from the law-abiding, “It’s another lie from Hillary Clinton.”

Cox said he takes Clinton at her word when she states that gun control is her number one priority. And he stresses the importance of this year’s election—not just for the next four years, but for decades to come—and notes that, “You could make a very valid argument that the Second Amendment is on the ballot in November.” Watch the interview here.
