Dreadful Pittsburgh Two-Fer: Home Invasion, Then Burglary

posted on May 5, 2015

Some our most courageous top cops—like Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke and Detroit Police Chief James Craig—have lately bucked the media trend to force-feed disarmament of regular citizens. They have observed that law enforcement can’t always be available precisely when needed, and citizen may have to stand on their own.

Their warnings appear well justified, too, as a Pittsburgh homeowner discovered twice last week. Four men were arrested during an earlier home invasion, and on May 1, two burglary suspects were shot and killed during an “interrupted burglary attempt” at the same address.

Violent crime is down substantially since the early 1990s, and much of the credit belongs to America’s law-enforcement professionals. A1F likes any opportunity to say “thank you,” and “job well done,” but also to remind: Guys like Sheriff Clarke and Chief Craig aren’t making this stuff up.

A Gun-Control Amendment?

Gavin Newsom is openly trying to amend the U.S. Constitution to include what he calls “common-sense” gun-control regulations. It seems he doesn’t understand what’s already plainly written in the Constitution.
