Everytown for Gun Safety, the anti-Second Amendment group backed by failed presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg, announced its first round of endorsements for the U.S. House of Representatives in what it has dubbed an effort to create a “gun sense majority” in the lower chamber.

The 58 endorsements come as part of the anti-gun group’s push to spend $60 million on this year’s elections. The full list can be viewed here; it includes the U.S. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.), along with many challengers to incumbents across the country.

Everytown’s senior political adviser, Charlie Kelly, said the group’s priority is to protect incumbents in contested races, but that the group will also go on the offensive by focusing on states like Texas and Arizona in their attempts to get people to vote away their freedom. The group rolled out a quarter-million-dollar ad campaign in the past month in Texas, and reportedly plans to spend at least $5 million in Arizona.

Though Bloomberg’s presidential bid was a dud, the former New York City mayor is still throwing his vast fortune around in his crusade against the Second Amendment. While Bloomberg was mayor, the city joined an amicus brief for “Major American cities” in the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case District of Columbia v. Heller (2008). They contended that “the Second Amendment imposes no barrier to state and local regulation of firearms.”

His views on the Second Amendment are clear and Everytown is simply an extension of his agenda against your rights. Unsurprisingly, Everytown also endorsed presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden earlier this year. Biden is yet another in the long list of politicians who have made it clear what they will do if elected.
