Everytown, Demanding Moms Fizzle In Atlanta

posted on May 1, 2017

One would think that if you were the head of a group that has access to untold millions of dollars from a crazed billionaire willing to spend it, you could at least put together a protest that isn’t a complete embarrassment.

But one would be wrong.

Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown and Demanding Moms once again boasted of the protest they were going to hold at the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Atlanta, Ga., saying “thousands” would attend. And once again, it was much ado about nothing. In the end, according to those providing security for the event, the “massive protest” drew only about 75 people to a venue more than a half mile away from where about 80,000 NRA members were enjoying themselves at the Georgia World Congress center.

Now which of those gatherings sounds like a “grassroots” movement to you?
