Expect the opposition to the nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court to be similar to the shouting mobs disrupting recent college campus and town hall events.

On Thursday, Politico reported on a press release from a coalition of several liberal groups that are promising “a hub of action to leverage the unprecedented grassroots activism that has been created by the Trump administration’s agenda and direct it toward defeating the Gorsuch nomination.” The coalition, The People’s Defense, includes the Center for American Progress, MoveOn.org, the Service Employees International Union, the American Federation of Teachers, End Citizens United and Indivisible, who published the guide to interrupting campus speech and town halls.

A spokesperson for the coalition confirmed that they are not planning TV ads to match those already running in support of Gorsuch, but “are instead aiming to match right-leaning groups’ financial muscle with grassroots firepower.” They have urged supporters to prepare for “a national day of action” on April 1.
