Ferguson Salon Owner Asks For Help

posted on August 13, 2015

Business owners in Ferguson, Mo., are taking up arms and standing guard outside their establishments as a fresh wave of violence has swept the community. Dellena Jones, owner of the 911 Salon, has seen the salon repeatedly looted throughout the course of the protests; she is now concerned about her capability to keep it open.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help her defray costs, and it has been reported that members of the community have come together to stand watch over the business. While we are pleased to see neighbors coming to Jones’ aid, her predicament underlines how helpless unarmed citizens are in the current atmosphere of lawlessness.
