Florida Man Stops Armed Robber

posted on May 23, 2016

A Florida man used his legally owned handgun to stop an armed robbery in Plant City late Wednesday night.

According to local media reports, a 19-year-old man approached the vehicle driven by the victim, and pointed a gun at him and his female passenger. Fearing for his life and that of his passenger, the driver pulled his 9 mm handgun and shot at the robber, hitting him twice.

The wounded robber was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Charges are pending.
