We told you recently about an anti-gun measure in Illinois that, if passed, could run many lawful gun dealers out of business. Today that bill is scheduled to be considered in the House Judiciary Committee.

According to NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action, Senate Bill 1657 creates an onerous gun dealer licensing scheme within the state and should be defeated. “While the purported intent of this legislation was to enhance ‘responsible business practices,’ this proposed legislation only proves that the intention is to close as many federally licensed firearm dealers (FFLs) as possible,” stated an ILA legislative update.
