On Thursday, President Obama lamented his inability to institute more “common-sense gun safety” laws and vowed to use his last 18 months to push for more gun control. Ironically, and more than a little bit coincidentally, the day before the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) had issued a report indicating that gun manufacturing in the United States has seen a 140-percent spike during the Obama administration.

In response to Obama’s rabid desire to disarm America, citizens afraid of losing their Second Amendment rights have been shopping their favorite gun store and buying while they can. With demand skyrocketing, production has increased from 4.5 million in 2008 to more than 10.8 million in 2013. In other words, the number of firearms produced has more than doubled on Obama’s watch. The more he threatens to use his pen and his phone, the more guns will likely be made and sold.
