posted on October 24, 2016

A Virginia man was able to fight off two home intruders who struggled with him inside his home early Saturday morning.

Local police said the Newport News, Va., man heard a noise in his home and went to investigate. He found one intruder, but was quickly confronted by another, who began fighting with the resident.

The homeowner exchanged gunshots with the intruders, sending them fleeing and possibly saving his life. He was shot in the leg, and was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
