An important Right-to-Carry measure under consideration in South Carolina has passed out of the Judiciary Committee and will be considered this week by the full House of Representatives.

H. 3240 is one of NRA’s top priorities this session in South Carolina. The measure would establish that South Carolina recognizes all valid Right-to-Carry permits issued by other states.

The bill was amended in the Judiciary Committee to clarify that the recognition of permits issued by other states applies only to those permitees who are at least 21 years old, unless they are members of the United States Armed Forces.

South Carolina gun owners are encouraged to contact their state representative and ask them to support H. 3240 without any amendments that would weaken the measure’s goal of establishing true RTC recognition in the state. Contact them by clicking here.
