Marco Rubio Says Terrorism Motivated His Recent Gun Purchase

posted on January 19, 2016

In an interview Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio discussed with host John Dickerson his decision to purchase a new gun on Christmas Eve, saying that he has a Second Amendment right to do so and that it is a way he can defend his family against the threat of terrorism.

“I have a right to protect my family,” Rubio told Dickerson on Sunday. “I have a right to protect my family if someone were to come after us. Millions of Americans feel that way.” We’re some of them.
