Michigan Pre-emption Enforcement Bill Moves Forward

posted on May 6, 2016

A critical piece of pro-gun legislation has been approved by the Michigan House Local Government Committee and now goes to the full House of Representatives for consideration.

HB 4795, sponsored by Chairman Lee Chatfield, is important legislation aimed at protecting law-abiding gun owners from unlawful constraints on their right to keep and bear arms imposed by insubordinate local units of government.

Over the last few months, Bloomberg-funded gun-control groups have spent money and expended resources in Lansing spreading misinformation and outright lies about HB 4795. It is time for law-abiding gun owners to make their collective voices heard.
