Much Ado About Nothing

Liberals and gun laws are a funny thing. On one hand, they expect criminals to obey these laws, so they continually call for tightened restrictions on who can own what, and where. On the other hand, when a large group actually obeys the laws, they turn around and mockingly deride them.

Case in point—the annual NRA convention. Held in Nashville, Tenn., this week, the media has been having a heyday proclaiming the fact that NRA is “banning working guns.” As anyone who’s ever attended a gun show knows, display firearms are always disabled—so there’s certainly nothing newsworthy here. The NRA is also asking attendees to follow state and local laws—more non-news.

In fact, it seems the only real news is that the liberal rags—to no one’s great surprise—continue to twist the truth to fit their agenda.
