Neighbor Stops Domestic Assault With Firearm

A Greenville, N.C., man used his gun to stop an attack on his neighbor by her ex-boyfriend.

According to local media reports, 30-year-old Tyree Raheem Barksdale was assaulting his 29-year-old ex-girlfriend when the assault spilled over into a neighbor’s yard. When the neighbor tried to intervene and stop the attack, Barksdale reportedly assaulted him, too.

The neighbor grabbed a gun and shot Barksdale in the leg, ending the encounter. Barksdale was transported to a nearby medical facility with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to authorities.
