posted on August 4, 2017

NRA’s Political Victory Fund has announced endorsements for critical Virginia offices ahead of this November’s elections.

The NRA is endorsing Ed Gillespie for governor, Jill Vogel for lieutenant governor and John Adams for the office of attorney general. Gillespie has an NRA “A” rating, Vogel as an “A+” rating and Adams has an “AQ” rating (A rating based on a questionnaire. In contrast, their opponents are far less friendly to the Second Amendment.

“The team of Gillespie, Vogel and Adams will ensure that law-abiding Virginians have the ability to protect and defend themselves,” said Chris W. Cox, NRA-ILA executive director. “We need to elect leaders in the Commonwealth who will support our rights. Voters need to send (gun-ban billionaire Michael) Bloomberg a strong, clear message—that his gun control agenda is not welcome in Virginia.”
