Obama And Clinton: One Gun-Banner Endorses Another

posted on June 11, 2016

President Barack Obama made it official Thursday: He formally endorsed Hillary Clinton for president of the United States. “I don’t think there’s ever been someone so qualified to hold this office,” he enthusiastically stated in a video statement

Yet just eight years ago, the president was singing a different tune. His campaign ads at the time declared that Clinton is “what’s wrong with politics today” and warned that she will “say anything” to get elected “and change nothing.” Obama concluded that it was time to “turn the page.”

His new-and-improved 2016 message: “I know how hard this job can be, that’s why I know Hillary will be so good at it.” In response to his endorsement, the Republican National Committee noted that, “Obama has officially endorsed Hillary Clinton to run for his third term.” And Donald Trump tweeted that the president “wants four more years of Obama—but nobody else does!”
