There’s a guy in Ohio named Joe Eaton, and as Fox News reported, he has something important figured out about mass shootings: “Time is the most important factor in these situations … and waiting for outside help is just not a viable solution anymore.”

As the director of FASTER Saves Lives, his organization has affiliated with the Buckeye Firearms Foundation to sponsor firearms, paramedic, and active shooter response training and skills for teachers in at least 40 Ohio school districts.

Detractors, of course, can’t see the forest for the trees: “Ohio seems incapable of addressing the real problem, which is the disturbing number of households in this country that make firearms readily available to young men in crisis.” So it’s just about the firearms, isn’t it?

We think it ought to be about stopping anyone who seeks to hurt children, no matter their despicable method. And stopping them right away.
