Rupert Murdoch Leads “Bloomberg For President” Push In Media

posted on August 27, 2015

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who among other endeavors owns Fox News, has spoken out in favor of a presidential run from Second Amendment arch-nemesis Michael Bloomberg. Murdoch referred to Bloomberg as the “greatest mayor” of New York, while acknowledging that he disagreed with him on some issues.

There have been recent stirrings in the mainstream media about a bid from Bloomberg, and this word from Murdoch is leading to more excitement. “We do think Bloomberg should run,” wrote former Chicago Tribune editor James Warren on Poynter MediaWire, “if only to assure that the National Rifle Association goes broke trying to trash him.”
