The Tennessee Senate has passed legislation protecting Right-to-Carry permit holders who wish to transport or store firearms in their vehicles on campus parking lots.

Senate Bill 1991 would extend the parking lot protection law passed two years ago to public colleges and universities in Tennessee by allowing employees and students to store firearms and ammunition in their locked vehicles on campus without fear of legal or disciplinary action. A nearly identical companion bill, House Bill 2131, has already been passed by the Tennessee House.

Use Your Power!

If the Senate in Nashville accepts the House version of this bill, it will go to Gov. Bill Haslam for his signature. Tennessee residents, urge your state senator to protect the rights of lawful Tennessee Right-to-Carry permit holders who wish to store firearms in their vehicles at Tennessee colleges by passing this important legislation!
