A crook trying to break into the front windows of a Pasadena, Texas, home last week got more than he bargained for.

Police reports indicate that the man kicked in the windows and attempted to enter the home, even getting his hand inside. That’s when, according to family members of the residents, both occupants inside the home opened fire.

The suspect, who was shot several times, was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital afterward. Police say at this point no charges have been filed.
