Texas Motorist Shoots Attempted Armed Robber

posted on September 27, 2016

When an East Lubbock, Texas, man pulled into his driveway Friday night, a man pointed a handgun at him, told him to get out of the vehicle and demanded money, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports.

While the motorist held the gunman’s attention, a woman who was a passenger in the vehicle retrieved a handgun and handed it to the driver, who fired it at the assailant, striking him in the leg and sending him fleeing.

Police later arrested Jamarcus Johnson, 22, nearby, and charged him with felony aggravated robbery and several misdemeanors.
