The Weird Election World Of Katie Couric

posted on May 7, 2016

Since we are fully engaged in the gun-control debate on a daily basis, a recent headline at thewrap.com caught our attention: “Katie Couric: Why Aren’t We Talking About Guns in This Election?”

And our first reaction was, of course, “What planet is she living on?” Couric is apparently ignoring Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton’s near-daily attack on National Rifle Association members and other law-abiding gun owners.

“I really support everything President Obama said he would do through regulation on guns, but we're going to start the very first day and tackle the gun lobby to try to reduce the outrageous number of people who are dying from gun violence in our country,” Clinton said on MSNBC. Prior to that, she stated at a Connecticut election rally: “I am here to tell you I will use every single minute of every day … looking for ways we can save lives, that we can change the gun culture.”

Trust us, Katie, there’s plenty of talk about guns—and most of it is bad.
