It was Christmas, but some California teens were in more of a taking spirit than a giving one. Two juveniles, masked and armed, entered a liquor store in San Bernardino around 2 p.m. and demanded money. The two clerks behind the counter, fearing for their lives, pulled pistols from under the counter and shot at the suspects.

The robbers fled the store, hopped into a car and sped off. They were stopped by police a short distance away. One suspect had been shot multiple times and is expected to survive. All four juvenile suspects are being held on suspicion of armed robbery, and their names are being withheld pending further investigation.

Police believe that the teen robbers may have possible ties to other area crimes. The liquor store clerks, who were both legally permitted to carry, were unharmed.
